Welcome to my online space. Thanks for the visit =]
A bit about me, I’m a librarian in an urban area, an auntie to 8 nieces and nephews, a cat-lover, hiker, swimmer, TV lover, photog, and lifelong Detroit Tigers fan. Anything else you want to know, just ask.
In this space I tend to write it all down, from what I’m reading and watching to what I’m learning and thinking. I pride myself on my education, having two Master’s degrees, and now being in a doctoral program. In three and a half short years I’ll be a DET graduate! That is really exciting for me. I’ve been wanting to start a doctorate program but had never found one that would work with me, meet me halfway, like Central Michigan University Online does. They’re a great group of people. Highly recommend.
What else? I’m a proponent of kindness (do one better), keeping nature clean, returning the shopping cart to the corral, and believe that children are the future. I see great potential in the children of today when we teach them well. There’s no stopping them en route to their goals! I also epitomize community college as a first step in higher education, leaving spaces better for the next person, and generally always putting your best foot forward. I know the pitfalls of mental health and am an ally. When you are limited at putting your best foot forward, do YOUR best for the time being. It gets better.
That’s all for today. Stay kind! –Kellie
